COMMUNITIES

Growing with Care

At Laurus, our approach to community engagement is grounded in a simple belief: meaningful progress must extend beyond our operations. As we continue to grow, we remain equally focused on contributing to the well-being of the communities around us through targeted, need-based interventions. Our unwavering commitment to community well-being centres around health, education, rural development and environmental sustainability. We believe that fostering sustainability in these key areas is integral to the long-term enhancement of our communities and plays a vital role in overall economic growth.

Our CSR initiatives are shaped through regular engagement with local stakeholders, NGOs and government bodies, ensuring that each programme addresses real and evolving community needs. These initiatives are implemented mainly through the Laurus Charitable Trust or trusted partners, with a focus on delivering tangible, on-ground impact.

Rural Development

Vibrant communities require more than intent, they need infrastructure that works. During the year, our efforts were directed towards strengthening civic infrastructure and supporting local development across regions where we operate.

We supported a range of public infrastructure projects, including construction and development works in Yelamanchili and Anakapalli, provision of furniture for public service facilities such as fire stations and electrical and painting upgrades for government buildings. Community-focused initiatives such as jungle clearance works and support to municipal infrastructure further contributed to improving local living conditions. We also extended support towards the development of cultural and public spaces, including infrastructure at Annavaram Temple and beautification initiatives at Kaleshwaram.

Education and skill development initiative image

Education and Skill Development

Lasting change often begins in a classroom. With this in mind, our efforts in education were centred on improving infrastructure and creating better learning environments for students in underserved communities.

During the year, we supported the construction of educational infrastructure, including a 200-seater auditorium at Andhra University. We also partnered with organisations such as Abhaya Foundation and undertook repair and renovation work at government institutions, including social welfare hostels and polytechnic colleges in Parawada, Narsipatnam and Koruwada, helping to enhance access to quality education.

As part of our continued focus on livelihood enhancement, the Laurus Skill Development Centre remained an important platform for skilling youth, especially from marginalised communities. With employment-oriented training, the centre helps young individuals build industry-relevant capabilities and access sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Health

When it comes to healthcare, timely intervention can make all the difference. Our initiatives during the year focused on supporting critical care and improving access for those who need it the most.

We continued our partnerships with Pure Little Hearts Foundation and Hrudaya Care a Little Foundation, enabling life-saving pediatric cardiac surgeries and ensuring that children receive timely, high-quality treatment. Support was also extended to Bal Arogya Samvardhan and Cure SMA Foundation of India, contributing towards care for patients with serious and rare health conditions. In addition, initiatives such as improving access to safe drinking water through ATP Aqua Systems helped address basic health and sanitation needs at the community level.

Women Empowerment

Economic participation at the grassroots can unlock powerful change. Our initiatives in this area focused on creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for women.

We supported self-help group (SHG) women through the installation of seaweed cultivation rafts at Tantadi Beach, enabling income generation while encouraging community-led enterprise and resilience.

Environment initiative image

Environment

Caring for the environment is not a separate agenda, it is integral to how communities thrive. Our initiatives during the year focused on conservation, green cover and better waste management practices.

We continued our association with organisations such as ICRISAT and supported the maintenance of TTD Gardens at Tirumala, contributing to the preservation of biodiversity, enhancement of green spaces and improvement of the overall environment for pilgrims and local communities. At the grassroots level, we supported waste management through the provision of garbage collection vehicles and related infrastructure to local gram panchayats, strengthening sanitation systems and community hygiene.

Heritage and culture initiative image

Heritage and Culture

Cultural heritage carries the stories and identity of communities. Our support in this area focused on sustaining these traditions and enabling wider participation.

During the year, we extended support to initiatives such as Anakapalli Utsav and organisations including Sangitanjaly Foundation and Pandit Jasraj Cultural Foundation, helping promote and preserve traditional art forms and cultural expression.

Sports initiative image

Sports

Talent often needs just the right support at the right time. Our initiatives in sports focused on encouraging emerging athletes and enabling them to pursue excellence.

We extended support to promising sportspersons, including golfer Sneha Singh, helping them access resources and opportunities required to compete at higher levels.
